Such a shame that more zainichi korean literature isn’t translated into English. Because there are so many things that resonate with minorities everywhere, and it’s kind of weird but MOST people are minorities of some kind. I mean who exactly is that “average white American” that everyone talks about?
It’s so simple, my reasons for translating this stuff. But to graduate I have to pad it out with all these theories and bullshit. Well it’s not bullshit, it’s actually pretty interesting. But when you get down to it, it’s sooooo simple.
